Anti-Semite CNN Contributor Tweets ‘The World Today Needs A Hitler’
A longtime CNN contributor faced a barrage of scrutiny on social media after tweeting, “The world today needs a Hitler.” The tweet was interpreted by many as calling for the extermination of the Jewish people following the recent tensions in the Middle East.
The CNN contributor, Adeel Raja, has a history of tweeting out anti-Semite messages. The tweet was quickly taken down, but not before several high-profile platform users could save it, including Donald Trump, Jr.
Trump, Jr. responded to the tweet, “Hey @cnn this seems to be one of yours, but I imagine that surprises no one anymore.”
This wasn’t the first time Raja praised the Nazi leader.
During the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Raja wrote, "The only reason I am supporting Germany in the finals — Hitler was a German and he did good with those Jews!"
Another tweet from the same year read, "My support for Germany is for what Hitler did to the Jews!"
Yet another said, “Hail Hitler!”
Raja responded to a Twitter user calling for "Palestinian genocide....inner Hitler among Germans must resurface," saying “Hell yeah!!!!!”
He also begged terrorist organizations to travel to Israel, saying, "ISIS, TTP, TALIBAN - please go to Israel ASAP!"
When asked about Raja, CNN spokesman Matt Dornic told the Washington Examiner that he has “never heard” of him and that he was “looking into it.”
