NYC Radio Host and BLM Supporter Kills Police Officer in Drunk Driving Hit-and-Run
Only a few hours after posting a nearly two-hour Facebook Live stream of her drinking and saying “f**k the police,” Jessica Beauvais killed a NYPD officer in a drunken hit-and-run.
The live stream, a part of the Face the Reality radio show that she appears on, Beauvais went on a drunken rant slamming the justice system and police all while playing NWA’s “F**k Tha Police.”
She opened the live stream by discussing her take on the Chauvin trial.
"This week we are going to talk about the ignorance that was the Derek Chauvin trial — or the ignorance that is essentially just is this f***ing justice system," Beauvais said during her rant. "Police say an oath and in that oath they say an oath that they are not supposed to be afraid of that position and that is literally in the rules."
Beauvais made sure her viewers knew that if she’s killed by cop that she wouldn’t be the only one going down. "Like NWA say about the police – if you’re going to kill me, at least I get to take someone with me. I’m one of those people. If I’m going to go, someone is coming."
She also likened herself to DC comic book character Harley Quinn and said she carries a knife with her everywhere and thinks guns are pretty. "I'm for guns. I like guns. I like them – they're pretty... Maybe I'm a little Harley Quinn on the brain. I like weapons. I carry a knife with me everywhere I go. That s**t is normally on my hip but I got this thing here so I can't do that," she said. "I like weapons, because you're not going to try me. I got tried once in my life when I was very young and I didn't know no better. B***h you're not going to try me again in my life as I fight n***as too."
Daily Mail reported, "Throughout the video, Beauvais is seen vaping and drinking an unknown dark liquid from a plastic cup and, at one point, washes down the contents of a red shot glass with a bottle of Snapple. Police sources claim she later confessed to guzzling vodka before the deadly accident."
After closing her live stream saying “F*** the police,” Beavais hopped into her Volkswagen and ended up killing Officer Anastasios Tsakos while she was driving down the Long Island Expressway. Tsakos was redirecting traffic from a fatal car crash in “full reflective gear” at the time of the tragedy.
ABC 7 reported that authorities said Beauvais blew a .15 BAC, nearly twice the legal limit.
The impact from Beauvais’ car reportedly sent Tsakos 100 feet into the air before landing in a grassy area off the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, leaving behind a wife, a six-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.
Beauvais questioned police as to why they had pulled her over. She said, "I did hear a thump, so I knew I hit something, but I didn't see what it was."
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said, “I think that when you see the images of [Beauvais’] car and the windshield that is completely shattered, as well as damage to the front of the car, there is no way to not know that you struck an individual.”
While being arrested, Beauvais apparently told cops, "F**k you, I don't have to listen to you."
Footage posted to Twitter shows Beauvais, teary-eyed, saying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I hit him and that he's dead."
Beauvais now faces up to 15 years in prison with 13 charges against her including second degree manslaughter, second degree vehicular manslaughter, and leaving the scene of an incident without reporting a death.
