The Left's Election Plans
The transition of power, if Biden wins the presidency, has been on the minds of many. With the election less than one week away, I decided to snoop around the internet and see what articles and other published materials have been written on the topic.
Well let me tell you, it’s just what you would think.
There are people saying that President Trump will continue being the apparent authoritarian he is, that he won’t concede at all, let alone on election night, he’ll incite rioting and violence, he’ll mobilize the military and take over the Department of Justice to side with him, and the list of garbage goes on and on and on. This is just a little sample of some of the dumbest material I have read.
One of the most disturbing and outlandish things I came across comes from a group of “experts.” It’s a culmination of all the above, and then some. It also includes their own interpretation of Trump’s “I have to see” response to Chris Wallace’s interview question regarding whether or not he’ll accept the November 3rd results.
According to the website I came across, and its accompanying documentation, in June 2020, a group of over 100 bipartisan government leaders and others formed what I mentioned in the previous paragraph as “experts.” They convened to “assess with a high degree of likelihood that November’s elections will be marked by a chaotic legal and political landscape.” This group makes up what is known as the Transition Integrity Project (TIP).
If you’d like to follow along or read for yourself, here’s a link to the documentation. If you choose to save yourself 22 pages of redlining, marking up and reading, then please continue to read my overview and assessment of the exercises outlined in the document below.
What is the TIP?
“Launched in late 2019 out of concern that the Trump Administration may seek to manipulate, ignore, undermine, or disrupt the 2020 presidential election and transition process.” The TIP came together to participate in four, what they call “table-top,” exercises. Each of the four exercises encompassed a different election outcome scenario, each of which the convening members of the TIP thought was a possibility in this election, although many more possibilities exist.
The document highlights that the exercises consisted of individuals from both political parties, former government officials (two of which were governors), campaigners, journalists, social movement leaders, and experts in various topics.
How Did the TIP Come to Be?
Launched in December 2019, the TIP was founded by Rosa Brooks and Nils Gilman.
If you do a little research on Rosa Brooks, you’ll see that she was counselor to the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, Michele Flournoy, from 2009 to 2011. Flournoy served under the Clinton and Obama administrations, and was in line to become Joe Biden’s pick for Secretary of Defense this year, if he wins. Under Clinton, Flournoy was responsible for three policy offices, one of which was for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasian Affairs.
Not to stray too far from the subject, Brooks, serving under the clearly Democratic Michele Flournoy, was a columnist for the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post, two of some of the most left-leaning periodicals out there. It kind of makes you wonder about the integrity of the “project,” no?
As for Nils Gilman, he’s the former vice chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley and historian at the Berggruen Institute. Not much to say here other than UC Berkeley…self-explanatory.
What Were the TIP’s Exercises?
According to the documentation, 67 individuals participated in one or more of the exercises as active participants. About a dozen or so others acted as observers offering feedback during “debriefing” sessions.
Each exercise, or game, consisted of 7 teams with 2-3 people per team. The teams broken out as such: The Trump Campaign, Biden Campaign, Republican Elected Officials, Democratic Elected Officials, Career Federal Government employees, the Mainstream Media, and the Public.
Each game consisted of three turns where actions, insights and take-aways were formulated. Without getting too much into the dynamics of gameplay, it’s important to know that the TIP’s exercise documentation mentions that “The chances of success of each team action were determined based on robust argumentation among all teams,” and “that the exercises were not designed to model or simulate legal strategy, but rather to better understand the potential mobilization and media dynamics surrounding potential electoral contestation, and how candidates might exercise political power to achieve a win."
Italicized in the following list are the 4 exercises with a definition. Bulleted are only some of the actions/take-aways throughout the turns mentioned in the TIP document that I felt important to mention:
1) Ambiguous Result: the result of the election remained unclear during election night.
· Trump calls on Biden to concede while Trump calls right-wing media to report on a Trump win and calls the DOJ to deploy federal troops to lock down polling sites and quell potential uprisings.
· Biden calls for peaceful protests and calls to count every vote.
· Neither campaign is willing to concede.
2) Clear Biden Victory: Biden wins the Electoral College but also a popular vote.
· Trump calls on the DOJ to investigate election results.
· Trump maximizes federal funding for Trump businesses and temporarily relocates to Mar-A-Lago while entering into “murky overseas business deals.”
· Trump ultimately hands the White House to Biden. Trump issues pardons for family members, politicians and “prominent Democrats, including Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton, for unspecified crimes.”
· Trump campaign positions Donald Sr. to run for reelection or Donald Jr. to run in 2024.
3) Clear Trump Win: Trump wins the Electoral College, but Biden wins the popular vote.
· Two main priorities for the Trump Campaign: 1) legitimize the Electoral College results by casting doubt on Biden’s popular vote win and creating wide-spread violence by planting agent provocateurs into protests, and 2) consolidate power to reduce or eliminate the Deep State, redistrict to maximize GOP strongholds, and push through more conservative justices.
· Biden encourages California, Oregon and Washington (collectively known as Cascadia) to secede from the Union unless Congress agrees to 1) give statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington, DC, 2) divide California in 5 states to better represent its population in the Senate, 3) require SCOTUS justices to retire at 70 years old, and 4) eliminate the Electoral College to ensure popular vote wins the presidency moving forward.
4) Narrow Biden Win: Biden leads with less than 1% of a popular vote the day after the election with a prediction to win 278 electoral votes.
· Trump encourages state legislatures in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan to have other electors support a Trump win, with Michigan and Pennsylvania agreeing to do so.
· Trump Campaign pushes narrative, through media, that mail-in ballot fraud occurred. DOJ launches investigation and Attorney General William Barr shuts down ballot counting.
· Trump Campaign incites violence to show himself as a law and order president by calling on police to break up BLM and pro-Biden demonstrations.
· Right-wing media such as Infowars publishes the names, phone numbers and addresses of Biden electors and announcing that 88 of the electors are connected to Soros and 14 are involved in child sex trafficking. Rush Limbaugh and other personalities claim China helped Biden get elected. Right-wing meme pages saturate social media with calls to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.
By now, you should see how far-fetched some of these made-up scenarios are. It sounds like this clearly biased group of “experts” wouldn’t mind some of it happening, in favor of Biden, of course. If you read the TIP document (there’s too much more to write down here) you’ll see that they say either Trump calls Biden to force his hand to concede or Trump doesn’t concede despite a clear Biden win. Right off the bat, their raucous project predicts that Trump will stir up some sort of excuse, violence or authoritarianism in order to retain the White House.
The TIP’s Not-So-Fine-Print
For starters, a footnote in the document states that “TIP recognizes and shares the view that the Electoral College is profoundly anti-democratic.” WELL NO FREAKING DUH. Our founders DID NOT want our system to run solely as a democracy. They specifically created this country as a Constitutional Republic to steer clear of the popular vote, which the TIP loves so much. The popular vote would lead to consistent majority rule and would not represent the mentality of those living in more sparsely populated areas. It doesn’t take a genius to understand this concept, and it definitely doesn’t take a genius to understand that the TIP, and others who want to get rid of the Electoral College, are only in favor of the elite and what’s good for them. They obviously have not read the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, nor choose to do so.
Throughout the TIP’s document you’ll come across instances of the rioters and looters we see on the news today labeled as “peaceful protestors.” The TIP paints Donald Trump as someone who is against the justice protestors and chooses to sic the National Guard and police on them to squash their protests. Well I’ve got news for you (which probably shouldn’t be any news to you by now) the “peaceful” protests that the TIP is referencing are literally what I just said before – the rioting, looting and burning down of businesses across the United States. Yes, I’ve said it before and I will say it again, there are peaceful protests happening, but we’ve seen many turn into riots as soon as the extreme left-wing actors, such as antifa and BLM, come out of hiding and hijack them.
The documentation also mentions that “The potential for violent conflict is high, particularly since Trump encourages his supporters to take up arms.” I’d love for them to show where the president has said that. I can show you explicitly when Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said to threaten Trump supporters just as she does and to get in their faces and tell them they’re not welcomed wherever they are. Sorry, but defending yourself from wild mobs is not taking up arms, but a right guaranteed by the Constitution – a document the TIP and leftists choose to ignore.
Let me tell you, the TIP was not shy in explaining how they feel about Donald Trump saying that there is mail-in voter fraud. In the very same paragraph that I pulled the quote from above about taking up arms, the TIP says “Voting fraud is virtually non-existent, but Trump lies about it to create a narrative designed to politically mobilize his base and create the basis for contesting the results should he lose.”
I’m sorry, what? Voter fraud is virtually non-existent? Here’s a nice list of fraud cases from over the past few years to get you started.
I wrote an article not so long ago about people receiving ballots in their deceased pets’ names. People have also received ballots made out to those who are no longer with us or to those who no longer live at the address received. Ballots have been torched in drop-off boxes, dumped in ditches, shredded, and left in dumpsters or in the back of vacant trailers. Just last month, Project Veritas uncovered ballot harvesting on a massive scale in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) district of Minnesota. Mail-in voter fraud occurred in the city of Paterson, a city in my home state of New Jersey. Seriously TIP, get real. Voter fraud is happening every day and you want to say that it’s “virtually non-existent?”
The TIP claims that their exercises’ “findings are bolstered by the historical experience of Bush v. Gore (2000) and other U.S. electoral dysfunctions.” For those who don’t recall or were too young or not alive at the time, Bush v. Gore was a Supreme Court decision that settled the recount of ballots in Florida during the contested presidential election. To no surprise here, each side of the ballot always has lawyers stacked and ready just in case a close contest happens. The TIP wants to make it sound like layers are never involved.
The TIP also claims that, with regard to their exercises, “The closest analogy may be the election of 1876.” Now nobody alive right now recalls that election, and if you do, call Ripley’s Believe It or Not! The presidential election of 1876 was between Republican Rutherford Hayes and Democrat Samuel Tilden. The highly contended race led to a compromise in 1877. Keep in mind that this is just over a decade after the Civil War ended so we’re talking about bitterness still on either side of the aisle in Congress between Northern Republicans and Southern Democrats. During the compromise of 1877, it was agreed that Hayes would be given 20 electoral votes if Republicans removed federal troops from the South, effectively ending the Reconstruction.
Unfortunately, the compromise gave power back to the Democratic Redeemers, who were white supremacists, and proceeded to disenfranchise black voters by trying to thwart the passing of the 15th Amendment. Know that the 15th Amendment ultimately protected the suffrage of freedmen after the Civil War.
Think about it…the TIP likens this election to the election of 1876. Their documentation mentions, in exercise number 3, multiple concessions the Biden Campaign would be willing to make with the Trump to let him retain the White House. One of those concessions includes allowing Puerto Rico and Washington, DC to join the Union if they don’t want the secession of Cascadia. I mean, I don’t know if it’s just me, but it sounds like the TIP is encouraging the restructuring of our Union to favor the Democrats. Many believe that Puerto Rico and Washington, DC side heavily in favor of Democrats.
This is dangerous stuff if you ask me. Exercises or not, these anti-American ideologies are clearly instilled in the minds of people in high places, and, as mentioned before, some of which are working in our government. The TIP is flat out telling the readers of their documentation that they’re against the Electoral College. Right off the bat that should be a red flag to patriotic Americans – it’s especially a red flag to Constitutional Conservatives. It’s a serious change to the uniqueness and stability of our Republic, with no remorse.
The TIP’s suggestion to do away with the Electoral College is a disgrace to those that braved sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in search of the New World to escape religious persecution in England. Not only that, they came here to escape TYRANNY. Isn’t that what most people who come here from other countries seek to do, especially those from nations ruled by socialists? They come in search of a better life, more money, better jobs, security, and to escape tyranny, no? Our Founding Fathers crafted our Constitution in such a way to protect our rights and freedoms and they were smart about it. Establishing the Electoral College is just one of those ways to avoid tyrannical rule. We Americans avoid the rule of many, which can lead to tyranny, by having the Electoral College.
The TIP wants to talk about lies and disinformation? Telling the readers of its documentation that voter fraud doesn’t exist and that the protests being taken over by antifa and BLM are still peaceful aren’t lies and disinformation? In the words of their friend, Joe Biden, “C’mon, man!”
In all seriousness though, this is truly dangerous stuff. They are promoting ideas detrimental to our prosperity as a nation. This doesn’t go to say that none of the possibilities they propose in their exercises will happen, though. Relying on a “I have to see” during an interview with Chris Wallace doesn’t say a damn thing about Trump’s motives. We know that “I have to see” is in response to a trap that left-leaners were setting for the president.
They wanted him to say “yes, I’ll concede on election night.” They know that mail-in ballots will trickle in after November 3rd and that if Trump ends up not conceding that night, he’d be labeled a tyrant and an authoritarian, just as the TIP already called him in their documentation.
If the president flat out said “no,” he would be labeled the same thing too. Either way he goes he’s labeled a tyrant and an authoritarian. Why? Because he wants to make sure that PROVEN mail-in ballot fraud did not take place? What’s wrong with that? Again, every campaign in every election cycle has a string of lawyers just in case something goes awry like in 2000. Having lawyers in case of a lawsuit is nothing new here, although the left tries to paint it like it’s a new concept just because of Donald Trump.
Let’s be honest with ourselves, the left still has not gotten over the 2016 election results. Hillary was just whining a few days ago that it makes her sick to her stomach to think about a second Trump term. As soon as Donald Trump came down that escalator in Trump Tower in 2015 to announce his presidential candidacy the left was setting up the Russian hoax, with Hillary’s help, starting with the Steele dossier, and the rest is history. With that said, Trump has every right to be skeptical. With everything the left has done to him, it should be Republicans asking for concessions, not Democrats. God forbid a Republican president was caught spying on a Democratic president-elect, the entire incumbent administration would be in jail within week one of finding out.
Liberals have already done their damage in making this country seem less legitimate in the eyes of the world, we were literally a joke, one that Obama went on a world tour to apologize for. Donald Trump was the one to clean it up, and he’s done just that and more in less than 4 years no thanks to the lousy Democrats. The same Democrats that spied on him and spent millions of dollars in taxpayer money to investigate something they knew from the start was absolutely false. WAKE UP, AMERICA!
It was important to read into the biased TIP and its documentation to see what the left is thinking and what they’re up to. Don’t think for a minute that the election won’t get messy, though. If not in the White House, then definitely on the streets. Protect yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your liberty. Contrary to what the TIP says, the left has been inciting the violence across America and they will heighten it without shame come Election Day.
The TIP is only one group of many coming up with ways to change America from a prosperous and free nation to a locked-down and disastrous socialist paradise.
