Twitter Won’t Flag Posts Calling Boulder Shooter “White Christian Terrorist” as Misinformation
The alleged suspect in the murder of 10 people at a Boulder, Colorado supermarket earlier this week has been identified as an anti-Trump Muslim immigrant. Twitter released a statement saying that any tweets calling the suspect ‘white’ and ‘Cristian’ does not violate its misinformation policy.
Police named the suspect as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, a 21-year-old Muslim immigrant from Syria who had a history of posting anti-Trump rhetoric on social media.
The Daily Beast investigated Alissa’s social media accounts prior to being taken down and determined that he had posted about Islam and criticized a number of Trump’s policies including those against abortion, illegal immigration and gay marriage.
The Federalist noted that claims Alissa was an Islamic State sympathizer are still pending further analysis.
In telling Newsweek about its decision not to flag tweets clearly misidentifying Alissa as ‘white’ or ‘Christian,’ Twitter said that those tweets do not violate its misinformation policies. A Twitter spokesperson said, “The Tweets referenced are not in violation of the Twitter Rules. We will not take action on every instance of misinformation. Currently, our misinformation rules cover COVID-19 misinformation, synthetic and manipulated media and civic integrity.”
There goes the liberal hypocrisy in plain sight.
Even the niece of Vice President Kamala Harris jumped onboard the train of misidentification. In a now-deleted tweet suggesting that since the Atlanta-area shooter was white the Boulder shooter was white as well, Meena Harris posted, “The Atlanta shooting was not even a week ago. Violent white men are the greatest terrorist threat to our country.”
What a lovely family those Harris’s seem to be.
As you can see, though, Twitter is circumventing its own misinformation policy just to allow for the further sowing of division in the United States. Straight from the Twitter spokesperson’s mouth: “Currently, our misinformation rules cover COVID-19 misinformation, synthetic and manipulated media and civic integrity.”
C’mon, Twitter, is blatantly misidentifying a suspect’s race not manipulated media, especially at a time when whites are being automatically blamed for violent attacks against other races as soon as they happen? You’re absolutely flag-happy when it comes to posts that mention various elections that were fraudulent, even though they were proven to be according to court rulings and convictions. And god forbid someone makes a post regarding the coronavirus coming from China. Are violent crimes and the misinforming rhetoric on your platform that potentially causes them not more worrisome than the coronavirus and some tweets that bash Dr. Fauci?
Surely there are whites to blame for violent crimes, there’s no denying that. Right now the country has been seeing a spike in violent crimes against Asians, but recent FBI data shows that blacks are the majority perpetrators in Asian hate crimes. Of course, you won’t hear that statistical evidence during a time when whites are being told by the media, in elementary, secondary and college classrooms, in jobs, and in the military, that being white is inherently bad, and if you are white, you should be ashamed of it.
Let me reiterate, Twitter, among other big tech platforms, is a tool being utilized to further the progressive-liberal agenda of continuing to sow division in the country. The recent racial divide beginning under Obama, a president who many thought would dismantle racism in the country, only made it worse, and what we see today is the left continuing his legacy. They are clearly driving the wedge deeper and deeper and won’t stop until we pray, forcefully call their institutions out, and demonetize them. Until then, we’ll only see the divide grow wider at an alarming rate thanks to the progressive playbook and the platforms that further it.
